About Kayla

Hi, I’m Kayla!

I’m a Washington state Storytelling Photographer who fell in love with freezing tender moments in time to hold onto forever.

I am married to the love of my life & have two beautiful children. I was born in Florida and after meeting my husband in Hawaii, we settled down after he got out of the military here in Washington state.

Why photography?

Photography grew into more than a hobby after my son was born. I was a first-time mama following my baby around with my camera just to capture as much of this season I could before it drifted away. He will never be as little as he is now. I wanted to capture every giggle, new skill, and sweet cuddle. I learned how important it is to capture the milestones and the little things. We don’t always know what the future holds. I will forever cherish the photos I have of my little family & I cannot wait to look back years from now and replay those sweet memories. I dreamed about the impact I could have on other families through the storytelling that is photography.

Which is why I created AvilaBaer photography so I could continue with something I love and something I could give to others to showcase that memories can be forever, because pictures last a lifetime.
